    ANNOUNCING:  Dr. Michele Anciaux Aoki will be retiring from Seattle Public Schools on September 1, 2019. The position of International Education Administrator has now been posted on Seattle's Careers page. Closing date for applications is June 25, 2019. To learn more about the work, we encourage applicants to read all of the web pages under International Education, and, in particular, the reports from the 2016-2018 International Education / Dual Language Immersion Task Force and 2017 Program Review. This one position supports Seattle's 10 International Schools and K-12 Dual Language Immersion programs in Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin, as well as supporting ALL World Language teachers 6-12 throughout the district. 

    Seattle's International Schools provide students with linguistic skills, higher-order thinking skills, and a global perspective that will help them to contribute to, and succeed in, a 21st century world.


    International Schools help students engage in intellectually rigorous schoolwork and prepare them for college, career and life. International Schools help close both the academic achievement gap as well as the “global achievement gap."
