    School Climate Surveys at Seattle Public Schools

    Surveys are typically administered in the spring of each school year to all families, school staff, and students grades 3 through 12. Results are used to guide improvements at the school and district level. On this page, you will find information about our annual school climate surveys, as well as results from our Fall 2020 survey of remote learning.

    ** NEW: Fall 2020 Remote Learning “Pulse” Surveys **

    The shift to remote learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has made it is more important than ever to check in regularly with students, families and educators to see how instruction is going, so that efforts can be improved over the course of the year. In October 2020, the SPS Research & Evaluation Department partnered with Panorama Education to deliver short “pulse” surveys to all students in grades 3 to 12, all families, and all instructional school staff. Below you can find links to the full survey portal through Panorama Education, a short video about how to use the Panorama portal, and a district-level summary of survey results.

    Survey Results from Previous Years

    Survey results are typically made available in our Survey Reports Portal hosted by Panorama Education by August 31 each year. However, please note that due to COVID-19 school building closures, all school climate surveys for the 2019-20 school year were cancelled. To access this fall’s Remote Learning “Pulse” Survey and all historical climate survey data, please visit the Panorama Portal.

    To find results for your school:

    1. Click on the school icon to select your school.
    2. Click the link for the Family, Staff, or Student Survey report you wish to view.
