Dear Decatur Elementary families and staff,

I am pleased to announce that through a rigorous formal hiring process involving staff, family and community feedback, Interim Principal Laurie Miller has been named the new principal at Decatur Elementary.

The Decatur hiring team saw Principal Miller’s knowledge of students, the Decatur Community, and her desire to support equitable practices within HCC programming as a huge benefit to Decatur students, families and the greater SPS Community.

I want to thank the Decatur school community for their engagement in this process and look forward to all Principal Miller continues to lead with your support.
